Disques de frein EBC. FABRIQUÉ AU ROYAUME-UNI.
L'objectif du développement est d'améliorer les performances de freinage par rapport aux disques d'origine. EBC utilise de l'acier HPSR à faible teneur en carbone, qui présente un coefficient de frottement supérieur de 18%. Cet acier est beaucoup plus résistant à la rouille que l'acier coulé. De plus, toute la surface est protégée par une couche de zinc de 3 microns d'épaisseur, qui s'use dès le freinage dans la zone de contact des plaquettes de frein. Ce n'est que dans cette zone que de la rouille superficielle peut se former lors d'une longue durée d'utilisation.

Les disques de frein sont percés en forme d'aile d'oiseau afin d'avoir le moins de trous possible tout en optimisant le nettoyage du disque de l'eau de pluie et de la poussière de frein. Moins il y a de trous, meilleure est la performance de freinage sur sol mouillé et plus faible est l'usure.
